Pack your passion.
Come prepared.

Your practical guide to a smoother market day. Find the links, checklists and preparation advice you need to arrive ready to trade.

Less last-minute rushing

Your market-day checklist.

Tick items as you prepare. Use this as a starting point alongside your venue’s requirements and the needs of your own business.

Before you set off

Pack your stall

On arrival & before you leave

These ticks are a handy on-page checklist, not a saved record or confirmation that your documents have been approved.

Ready behind the scenes

Get your
documents in order.

Have the documents relevant to your business ready when requested, and keep them valid for the date of your event.

Public liability insurance

Your cover must include your products and trading activities throughout the event. Check the required level of cover in your booking information and any additional venue requirements. Tell us promptly if your cover expires or changes.

Risk assessments & equipment

Be ready to provide risk assessments and equipment safety records relevant to your setup when requested. Check the event requirements for gazebos, securing equipment, tables, gas, electrical equipment, generators and catering units.

Food & drink businesses

Relevant documents may include food business registration details, food hygiene documentation, insurance, risk assessments and licences. Prepare for the safe storage and handling of your products, including temperature control and allergen information.

Products & approved activities

Only offer the products and activities approved for your booking. Keep any requested product compliance documents available and ask us before changing your product category or setup.

Need a risk-assessment template or help with documents? Contact the team and tell us what you sell, how you trade and which event you are preparing for.

Know before you go

Make arrival feel straightforward.

Read your setup email

Arrival, unloading and setup information is normally emailed approximately five days before your event. Check your junk folder and contact us if it has not arrived.

Follow your venue’s plan

Access times, parking and unloading arrangements vary. Do not assume you can drive directly to your pitch or that electricity, water or parking is included.

Trade safely together

Follow instructions from our team and venue staff, secure your equipment, and keep entrances and emergency routes clear. Stay open until the advertised closing time unless the event manager approves an earlier departure.

Keep the important details close

Bookings, policies & support.

Before you book

Read the event listing and your booking terms. Your selected pitch is a request: your stall is confirmed only once we have approved the booking and taken payment.
